Earlier this morning, the moon was absolutely radiant. Soft white light reflected off it’s surface. The moon reminded me of an egg, an Easter egg, as appropriate to this Good Friday. As the moon approached the western horizon, the color changed from white to yellow and appeared to grow in size. Tomorrow, Saturday, the moon will be full for the second time in the month of March. Whenever two full moon’s occur in a calendar month, the event is referred to as a “Blue Moon”. At this time of year, this event is also known as a Paschal Moon. The next time we’ll have one will be in the year 2037. The last time Easter Sunday fell on April 1 was in 1956.
