I am a volunteer at this wonderful shelter and I encourage you to get involved. Adopt, foster, volunteer and/or donate.
Abandoned Animal Rescue’s (AAR) mission is to shelter homeless pets until they are placed into permanent homes and to work towards ending pet overpopulation that results in the euthanasia of unwanted cats and dogs. We do this through our adoption program and low-cost spay/neuter, which is offered through Texas Litter Control. AAR is committed to the emotional, physical, and behavioral well being of each animal within our care.
AAR is a Cat & Dog Center that includes a limited intake adoption facility, community education outreach, and an affordable wellness and spay/neuter clinic through our partners at Texas Litter Control. Founded in 2002 by three dedicated animal lovers; Angie Fenton, Barbara Schulz, and James Gordon, AAR is entirely managed and maintained by volunteers.
Because AAR realizes spay/neuter is the only solution to pet overpopulation and unnecessary euthanasia, part of our mission is to provide affordable spay/neuter to the public and we do this through our partnership with Texas Litter Control. TLC is located in our facility and appointments can be booked online at texaslittercontrol.org.
